William Rosato
William Rosato has 30 years of experience as an architect developer in planning, designing, and building residential and mixed-use developments. During his tenure with Alpine, and previously with the real estate firms of Lennar, Tarragon Corporation, and Lincoln Property Company, Bill has successfully completed developments throughout the eastern US exceeding $1 billion.
Before forming Alpine, Bill held the positions of President of Tarragon Development Corporation, Vice President of Development for Lennar Multifamily Communities, and Vice President for Lincoln Property Company.
Prior to his work as a developer, Bill worked in the New York offices of Bovis Lend Lease and Skidmore Owings and Merrill, as a construction manager and architect.
Bill received his BA and Master of Architecture degrees from the University of Pennsylvania. He is a licensed architect in the states of New York and New Jersey, and a member of the American Institute of Architects.
Todd Schefler
Todd Schefler has over 35 years of experience in real estate development on projects exceeding $1 billion. Prior to forming his own company in 2018 and merging it with Alpine, Todd was a partner at Catellus (a TPG company) where he spent 10 years.
Catellus developed the 700-acre former Mueller Airport in Austin, Texas which includes: the Dell Children’s Hospital, a Children’s Museum, over 6,000 residential units, over 1 million sf of retail and 140 acres of parks/open space. Catellus also built Teterboro Landing in New Jersey which included a 156,000 sf Warehouse and 390,000 sf of retail including a Costco and a restaurant row.
Prior to Catellus, Todd was at Tarragon Corporation for eight years where he became President of the Development Company and Chief Development Officer. Tarragon was a public company listed on NASDAQ that built a significant apartment portfolio in the U.S.
Prior to Tarragon, Todd was an EVP at Burroughs Development in NJ and before that, a Vice President at Chemical Bank in the Real Estate Investment Banking group.
Todd has a BA from the University of Pennsylvania in Natural Science/Astrophyics and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Gideon Friedman
Gideon oversees the strategic direction and growth of Beachwold’s 15,000-unit national portfolio and its development projects. Since 2010, Gideon has organized partnerships to develop or acquire over $3 billion in multifamily properties across the eastern and central U.S. In 2016, he founded South Oxford Management, a property management company headquartered in Dallas Texas, to manage Beachwold’s portfolio.
He earned his B.A. from Brown University in Urban Studies. Gideon also serves as president of the board of directors for Woodshed Collective, a non-profit theater company in New York.
Amir Hazan
Amir serves as Alpine Residential and Beachwold Residential’s Chief Investment Officer. In this role, he oversees the firm’s acquisition, development, disposition, and financing activity, including sourcing, underwriting, market analysis, and due diligence. Since joining Beachwold in 2016, Amir has been responsible for the addition of more than 7,000 apartment units and over $1.5MM in development pipeline to the portfolio of Beachwold Residential and Alpine Residential. Prior to joining Beachwold, Amir was a manager in the Transaction Advisory Services Group at Ernst & Young (EY), where he led numerous projects, assisting private equity funds and corporate buyers with large-scale, complex M&A transactions. In parallel to his tenure at EY, Amir privately developed purpose-built student housing, focusing on the UT Austin market. From 2005 to 2008 Amir served in the Israel Defense Forces Intelligence Corps as a research associate.
Amir holds a B.A., magna cum laude in Accounting and Economics from Tel Aviv University, Israel and an MBA, magna cum laude from Columbia Business School.
Beverly Ferguson
Bev Ferguson has been actively involved in property management for more than 25 years. She first became involved in apartment management while attending Sacramento State University, where she obtained her BS Degree in Business Management. As President of South Oxford Management, Bev leads the company in its national operations.
Prior to joining SOM, since 1992, Bev led US Residential Group and its predecessor, Pacific West Management’s, management of portfolios throughout the Southwest, Midwest, Northeast, and Sunbelt states, which included most of Beachwold’s properties in the region.
Chuck Rubenstein
Chuck has been a real estate attorney and real estate industry executive for over 30 years. Prior to his current position, he was a partner at the New York law firm Wachtel & Missry LLP, and from 1998 through 2009, he was the head transactional attorney and Executive Vice President of Tarragon Corporation, a New York based publicly traded homebuilding, multifamily and mixed-use development, operating and management company. Chuck is a licensed New York real estate broker, is licensed to practice law in New York, and is a graduate of NYU School of Law.
George Karounis
George Karounis serves as Vice President of Construction and Development at Alpine Residential, where he manages pre-development, design, and construction for active projects.
George brings to Alpine over 15 years of construction and development experience in the tri-state area. Prior to joining Alpine, George served as a Senior Project Manager at JEMB Realty, where he was responsible for the construction of 1 Willoughby Square, a 34-story, 500,000 SF mixed-used office tower in Downtown Brooklyn.
Previous experience includes serving as Project Manager at Gorton and Partners where he managed the development of Teterboro Landing for Catellus, performed pre-construction efforts at 1568 Broadway for Fortress, and was involved in various projects for NYU and JP Morgan Chase. George previously also served as Project Manager at Whiting-Turner, where he managed projects for Novartis Pharmaceuticals, Vornado, Lehigh Valley Health Network, and Pratt Paper.
George graduated from Stevens Institute of Technology with a B.E. in Engineering Management, and a Master’s Degree in Construction Management.
Theresa Purcell
Ms. Purcell joined Alpine leading the Risk Management Division as Vice President, Risk Management in February 2023. She began her career in insurance at Blue Cross and Blue Shield and American International Group to follow. In 2002, Ms. Purcell joined The Related Companies’ risk management team where she launched her 21 year career in Risk Management with a primary focus on real estate including real estate owned multi-class portfolios, property management, construction development, and other real estate services. Since then, and prior to joining Alpine, Ms. Purcell held various senior risk management roles as V.P. for Morgan Stanley Real Estate, Director of Risk Management for Cushman and Wakefield, Kushner Companies, and The Moinian Group, and Global Risk Management Consultant for Starwood Capital Group. During Ms. Purcell’s risk management career, she has overseen the real estate platform for portfolios in excess of $45B+ AUM.
Ms. Purcell graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and has been a member of RIMS, a member of and conference speaker for the Advisen Property Annual Insurance Boards, and has been on several insurance company real estate advisory boards throughout her career.
Jamie Laws
Jamie serves as the Controller for Alpine Residential, with 25 years of accounting and finance experience, including public accounting, real estate development, property management, and even a stint as a visiting lecturer at Texas Christian University. Her duties included oversight of all financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, tax compliance, and management of project accounting. Jamie brings a strong background of establishing policies and procedures, scaled for growth, to ensure the organization implements best practices in the finance, accounting, and taxation aspects of the business.
Jamie has been a licensed CPA in Texas for 21 years and holds a BS and MS in Accounting from the University of Texas at Arlington.
James McCabe
James McCabe, a Senior Project Manager at Alpine Residential, manages the pre-development, design, and construction processes on multiple projects.
James has compiled over 12 years of wide-ranging construction management experience within the tri-state area. Prior to joining Alpine, James served as a Project Manager at Gilbane Building Company, where he managed construction on the first Proton Therapy Treatment Center in Manhattan, the Spence School Athletic Facility, and a LEED Platinum interior office fit-out in Downton Brooklyn.
Previous experiences include serving as a Project Engineer for Schiavone Construction on Heavy Civil Infrastructure Projects for the New York State Department of Environmental Protection, Metropolitan Transportation Authority, and New Jersey Department of Transportation.
James graduated from Manhattan College with a B.S. in Civil Engineering.
Shadia Jaradat
Shadia serves as a Senior Project Manager at Alpine Residential, with over eleven years of experience in real estate development. Prior to joining Beachwold, Shadia was the Vice President of Rawabi, the first planned city built for and by Palestinians in Palestine. She successfully led the largest private sector project in the history of Palestine, managing a total budget of 1.5 billion dollars and leading over 400 engineers. Shadia has experience in covering all aspects of project planning and management, including site supervision, quality control, budgeting, and cost estimation, as well as planning and scheduling while ensuring all the industrial area’s activities and production served construction needs. Shadia was able to manage and develop business in the construction industry and implement effective strategies to ensure maximum corporate growth. In 2018 She started managing additional departments, such as residential and commercial sales, marketing, social media, and facility management. She is well-known for her success in commercial real estate and consistent project completion that meets client requirements within the allotted time.
In parallel to her duties at Rawabi, Shadia also launched and managed the largest Palestinian real estate project in the history of East Jerusalem, which included 400 luxurious residential apartments, commercial retail facilities, schools, offices, cinemas, and a large park. Shadia not only occupied the highest-level engineering position in a male-dominated industry, but she also did so in highly conservative environment.
Shadia Jaradat has a B.A. from Birzeit University in Civil Engineering and an MBA from Hult international business school. She is also a four-time Palestine Chess Champion and earned her first international title, “Candidate Master”, in 2012.
Ryan Whiteside
Ryan Whiteside, a Senior Project Manager at Alpine Residential, manages pre-development, design, and construction for active projects in Florida.
Ryan began his career in construction with Brasfield & Gorrie in 2005. While there he developed experience working in the Tampa, Southeast Florida, and Central Florida areas. Prior to joining Alpine, Ryan developed experience working in commercial and healthcare construction. He has experience on a wide range of construction projects including green field hospitals, ED & NICU renovations, restaurants, libraries, and large-scale office buildings.
Ryan served as Senior Project Manager on MetWest III, a 10 story office building in Tampa Florida. The office building is nearly 250,000 SF and included the buildout of the first 7 floors. He also served as Senior Project Manager on the Winter Park Library & Event Center. This project was designed by award-winning architect Sir David Adjaye. The project featured three overlapping structures with exterior walls sloped away from the buildings.
Ryan graduated from the University of Central Florida with a B.S. in Civil Engineering.
Amanda Matthews
Amanda Matthews serves as Senior Project Manager on a consulting basis for Alpine Residential, where she manages pre-development, design, and construction for multiple projects.
Amanda brings to Alpine over 23 years of construction and development experience in numerous markets across the United States, primarily in the mid-Atlantic and tri-state areas.
Amanda is currently President of Pharos Project Managers, LLC, and is an active partner of Alpine on several projects. Previously, Amanda served as Vice President and Director of Construction and Development at Catellus, as well as Vice President and Director of Construction at Pitcairn Properties. Previous experience includes Project Management roles at Liberty Property Trust, Rubenstein Partners, Skanska USA, and Turner Construction Company. Amanda offers a diverse, vast, and impressive project management portfolio of high-profile commercial, industrial, multi-family residential, and retail projects.
Amanda holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Drexel University, with concentrations in Construction Management and Geotechnical Engineering.
Sasha Rubenstein
Sasha has been an analyst at Beachwold since 2021. Before that, he graduated from Tulane University’s Freeman School of Business with a degree in Management and Finance.
Nick Rosato
Nick Rosato, an Assistant Project Manager at Alpine Residential, works in the pre-development, permitting, entitlements, design, construction, marketing, and lease-up phases of Alpine’s developments. Additionally, Nick manages relationships with lenders, equity partners, and brokers, as well as assisting with sourcing and acquiring new development opportunities.
Nick brings 4 years of experience in development management, coordinating all stages of the development process across 12 multifamily, mixed-use projects.
Prior to joining Alpine, Nick worked for 4 years at Fields Grade Development, and held internships in real estate development and construction management.
Nick graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a BA in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics, where he is a member of the Mortar Board national honor society.
